The lifetime of a battery is dependent on two major factors, its charge life and its total life. The charge life is the amount of time that a battery can hold energy while not in use. Batteries with high charge lives tend to last longer as compared to those with short ones. On the other hand, total life refers to the maximum number of charge cycles that battery can support on the course of its lifetime. As expected, a battery with a high total life will serve you for longer periods than a variant with low total life.
Current Availability (Power Density)
Power density is the amount of power generated by a battery relative to its volume. This means that a system with high power density can generate large amounts of power over long periods despite having a small size. Conversely, low power density means that a battery produces little power in relation to its volume. Moreover, batteries with high power densities have faster recharge times because they release energy more rapidly than models with low power densities.
