Learn actively while having fun

Children’s camps are a modern and widely used form of non-formal English language learning combined with numerous recreational activities. The educational process itself uses methods that encourage children to perform interesting tasks and become active participants in learning.

Knowledge is not gained by memorizing but by playful and entertaining moments: cases adapted to their age and environment are discussed; project issues are solved; information is sought from a variety of sources, including the Internet, which is then summed up to present topics through multimedia, etc. This requires creative thinking and activates the talents. Thus, by reaching the knowledge themselves, the children understand and assimilate it easily and permanently.

Of course, all training activities in these international camps are selected in advance on lessons and days, according to the material which has to be learned. The team assignments on different projects teach them of teamwork and at the same time of independence of judgement with certain responsibilities. They also learn to appreciate the work of others, ethics, respect, honesty. The range of interests expands, new skills are acquired. In the informal setting children feel relaxed, do not burden themselves psychologically and easily overcome the natural initial barriers to communication. They gain confidence and self-esteem in the establishment and development of real social contacts, live communication with children and adults.

This is useful in life for quick adaptations when entering an unfamiliar environment. In addition, the atmosphere also helps to increase the mental stability. If failure occurs, it is easier to overcome than in the formal school environment, where failures are linked to concerns about the sanction. What’s more – activating creative thinking and talents in a relaxed setting, camps are a place for talent activities.  In this way, knowledge of different cultures and traditions is gained – traditional dinners, talents, evening evenings, theatrical dinners, etc. are traditionally held.
