Quality of Education and its Challenges

To get a clearer view and develop a better perspective of life, education is the key ingredient. If we try to imagine a life without education, what will it look like? Horrible. You would not be able to read, write, speak, or even think in an organized way. Education develops a sense of self-dependency in a person, boosts their confidence, helps them reach their goals, and makes the world a fairer place.

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” – Nelson Mandela

The meaning of education and how we perceive it can vary from person to person. Gaining better education is a right of everyone irrespective of the color, caste, creed, and religion of a person. It is the ultimate way to get success in life as quality education polishes the values, beliefs, skills, and habits of an individual. It helps us to build our opinions about different things based on our learning.

Education leads the way to bring a natural and everlasting change in the personality of an individual. His ability to reason, and to achieve his targeted goal is magnified. It aids him to discover his thoughts and to express them thoughtfully. It enlightens a person and helps him to distinguish between the right and wrong paths. The lack of education means a lack of goals and a lack of meaningful life.

In the last few years, people have shown immense interest in the learning modalities and styles of education. The most frequently used learning modalities are: visual which is based on observations and seeing, auditory which is based on listening, and kinesthetic which is based on movement. The other examples of learning modalities are musical, verbal, intrapersonal, and interpersonal.

Majorly, education is categorized into three types, which include, formal, informal, and non-formal education. More or less, the educational institute is responsible for underpinning successful individuals, societies, and civilizations. But, education is more than just what happens within the four walls of the school.

Formal education is the one that involves school and takes place within the premises of the school. It is more subject-oriented and has a hierarchical structure. As a reward students are granted degrees and certifications. Whereas informal education is referred to as physical adult learning. It is diverse in the methods and techniques. To put it simply, informal education is a practical life example of learning. Lastly, a non-formal education, as compared to formal and informal, is a very long process. It simply means to learn from home, experience, work, and environment.

But unfortunately, quality education has been facing many challenges, lately. As bullying schoolmates, fake id services availed by teachers, extra use of technology has a negative impact on the education system as a whole. By keeping a check on all of these, the system can be made better.

Hence, to deal with the issues in life and to gain essential abilities, one must get an education. Learning abilities unleashes the imaginative part of the human mind. He becomes able to discover himself and he achieves lawful motives.
