The Black Bean and Chicken Salad

This salad is rich in fiber. Fibers help improve the digestion which in turn will help you metabolize your food easily.

Ingredients:

Savory sauce:

  • Two cloves of garlic, minced
  • One fourth teaspoon of salt
  • Five tablespoons of olive oil
  • Six tablespoons of orange juice
  • One tablespoon of honey mustard

For the salad:

  • One can of white beans
  • Two cups of chopped chicken
  • Two cups of diced cucumber
  • One cup of diced celery
  • One fourth cup of ricotta cheese
  • One half cup of sun-dried tomato with oil
  • Two cups of romaine lettuce, roughly chopped
  • Two cups of radicchio leaves, roughly chopped
  • One half cup basil, chopped
  • One fourth cup oregano, chopped

What you need to do:

For the preparation of the sauce, peel the garlic and crush it with a knife. Mash it with a fork and add about one fourth teaspoon of salt and pepper. Mix until it forms a paste. Add some oil and orange juice. Mix together. Then add the vinegar and mustard. Taste and add in more juice if you want to mellow the flavor. Add some salt, if needed. Set aside.

For the salad, place it in a large bowl. Place the beans, salad, chicken, cucumber, celery, tomatoes, and cheese. Toss until it is mixed evenly. Add some of the sauce you made, toss until it is well combined. Season well with salt and pepper.

Toss the lettuce leaves. Serve and enjoy!

Avocado and Turkey Wrap

This wrap is great. The protein from the turkey is good for your energy. Healthy and delicious, this is perfect for a quick snack. It is very easy to do, it will only take you a few minutes.

Ingredients:

  • One whole wheat tortilla
  • Two tablespoons of hummus
  • One half teaspoon of chili powder
  • Three slices of turkey, low in sodium
  • One fourth of an avocado, sliced in cubes
  • Two teaspoons of pickle slices

What you need to do:

Place the tortilla and cover the entire thing with hummus. Add a layer of turkey and avocado. Spread the pickle slices evenly. Roll and slice in half.

The Sweet Tuna Salad

Tuna has many health benefits, even the fats are beneficial to the heart. Another advantage is that it promotes detoxification.

Ingredients

  • One and a half cup of tuna in water
  • Three tablespoons of pickle relish
  • Two tablespoons of Greek yogurt
  • One tablespoon of honey mustard
  • A small onion, minced
  • A half cup of cucumber, sliced
  • A half cup of corn
  • A cup of celery, roughly chopped
  • A cup of spinach, roughly chopped
  • Sea salt
  • Pepper
  • Lettuce leaves

What you need to do:

Place all the ingredients in a bowl. Mix and top it off with some leaves of lettuce. Add some pita or place in whole grain crackers. Serve and enjoy!
