What you should know about study drugs

The competitive environment in which we live in has made the importance of staying on top of one’s performance, whether it’s in the workplace or in class.

Study drugs have become somewhat of a norm among college campuses. Many students are exchanging study drugs among themselves, with Modafinil, Adderall and the racetam family occupying top spots when it comes to preferences.

Isn’t caffeine enough?

This is precisely one of the points that we’re going to discuss in this article.

Caffeine is a widely used cognitive enhancer, most commonly consumed as coffee or green tea.

It’s effective when it comes to boosting focus and keeping one alert, though it has some downsides..

Jitteriness is common, especially if one would slightly go above a certain dose.

For someone who already feels emotional before an exam, caffeine may actually be counterproductive.

Caffeine makes you crash at some point, which may be annoying for some people.

Furthermore, there is insufficient proof to show that caffeine has a meaningful impact on memory.

Enter study drugs

Study drugs produce similar effects to caffeine, though each is different and can suit you better.

Up until recently, Adderall was the most popular study drug in use, though it definitely wasn’t designed for it.

Neither was Modafinil, though more and more people buy Modafinil online and use it nowadays off-label, with some even substituting it for Adderall due to fewer side effects and lower addictive potential.

Modafinil’s effects on focus, memory, concentration, alertness, wakefulness and task enjoyment far outweigh the benefits of caffeine. In fact, it does so when compared to any other substance.

Other potent substances that can safely be used as study drugs are: phenylpiracetam, citicoline, oxiracetam, noopept, tianeptine, phenibut and many others.

Safety is the main aspect

When it comes to young minds, the body mustn’t be ignored, which is why the term “nootropic” has been gaining popularity.

A nootropic is any type of cognitive enhancer that is also safe to use.

Stimulants such as Adderall or Ritalin can be quite damaging for the body and mind. You would be paying the cost of health in exchange for a more effective study “ritual”.

That’s not exactly wise, as health should be paramount to any other ambition.

Personally, I’m not a fan of Adderall, Ritalin or any other substance that makes me crash or that causes noticeable side effects.

When it comes to nootropics, there aren’t many reasons not to use them. Safety and potency make it well worth it if you really want to make your study time as effective as possible.

Of course, not everyone reacts the same, given every person’s unique brain chemistry.

If you want to find the best smart drug to suit your purposes, you’ll have to experiment (under medical supervision, of course) and see which one suits you the best.
