5 Creative Ways To Lose Weight At Home

I think it’s fair to say that we’ve all hit the button when it comes to poor diet and exercise regime during the pandemic. You can rest in the fact knowing that you’re not alone, with so many countries closing up their gyms due to lockdown, it’s needless to say that the weight will slowly stack on, especially when sometimes we don’t even walk to work anymore.

Losing weight is an age-old question, that I think everyone in this day and age knows how it works. The basics of it are hitting a calorie deficit every day, this is where you’re burning more calories than you’re consuming. Over time you start to lose weight, mixing exercise in there just makes things happen faster, and makes you feel a lot healthier.

But with the gym gone and lockdowns in place in some countries, what are the most creative ways to actually lose weight at home? I’ve listed down 5 ways you can start looking into exercising at home and starting to build the physique you’ve wanted once again.

5 Creative Ways To Loser Weight At Home:

1. Look Into Home Gym Equipment

Finding home gym equipment for weight loss can help you crush your goals in the comfort of your home. When I talk about gym equipment, you can be sure I’m talking about treadmills and more. However, it doesn’t need to be expensive gym equipment. You can invest in jump ropes, battle ropes, resistance bands, and more.

2. Use Your Chairs

By using your chairs, your couch, or other stable equipment at your house, you can do exercises such as tricep extensions and even dips (Considering it’s safe to do so). You can even use chairs to do an inclined version of pull-ups or doing ab exercises where you crunch your knees into your abs for a few repetitions.

3. Run In The Same Spot

You can “imitate” the action of running, however, don’t move. I know it sounds funny, but just give it a couple of minutes and you will notice that your body starts warming up and that you’ll start sweating.

4. Look Into Elliptical Machines

Stationary exercise equipment such as elliptical machines is a nice-to-have for your house because they’re a low-impact exercise on your joints, much more than a treadmill. An elliptical machine is meant to imitate the natural running motion, whilst providing minimal impact to your body.

5. Create Set Goals

The best way I found to stay motivated when training at home was to create clear and set goals. They were simple, I was saying that I needed to do 10 pushups this day, with whatever else I had in the routine, and then the next day I increased that by 1 until I was able to work up to do doing 50 push-ups a day. When you do this in the comfort of your home and create the goals, it creates discipline around your life and training at home while you work to crush your goals, feeling good inside.

Conclusion:

These are just some creative ways that you can exercise at home to lose weight. Just doing something is better than nothing and remember, you don’t need to invest in expensive gym equipment in order to lose weight at home. Often times, we can use what’s right in front of our nose. Good luck!
