Whether you live on campus or off campus, you probably have some long walks to take between classes. 2. Use the Gym on Campus
College gyms aren’t always the best. They usually aren’t maintained as well as commercial gyms and they don’t tend to have all the great yoga, Pilates and spin classes. However, if you can’t manage to find the time for a commercial gym anyway, then you may as well carve out a half hour or so to go to the gym on campus. You may not think that you have the time, but a good workout will actually give you the energy you need to blast through a lot of your work afterwards.
3. Always Take the Stairs
If you regularly use an elevator, either in your apartment building or on campus, then you want to start forcing yourself to take the stairs. It may take a little longer and you may be out of breath at first, but once you get used to it, you won’t be huffing and puffing, and you will be very pleased with the extra tone you see in your legs.
4. Stretch While You Read
Stretching is great for the body because it helps to prevent injuries, increase agility, and flush out all kinds of toxins. You may not be able to touch your toes, and you may never get there, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try. After all, the point isn’t to be able to touch your toes – you just want to increase your flexibility.
5. Maintain a Healthy Diet.
If you want to stay in shape, then you are going to have to maintain a healthy diet. This means eating plenty of fruits and vegetables and staying away from sugary and fattening foods.
