Staying Fit During the Holidays

Staying Fit During the Holidays

The holidays can be a great time filled with a lot of good food & cheer but there is one thing to consider when sitting down for the Christmas feast. As much fun as it can be to sit down with loved ones & break bread with them, it is also important to know how to be able to indulge in some of that Christmas ham without getting too fat. That’s why it’s imperative to know how to stay fit during the holidays & this is where Jordan Sudberg comes into the picture. Here are some of the tips he has on how to be able to eat some of that food without getting overweight. So, the first bit of advice he has is to always make sure exercise is a daily routine. One will always stay fit if they are exercising on a daily basis & watching what they eat. So as long as they do not go overboard, they will be fine in terms of their weight. This can be anything from weight training to doing some cardio such as running or biking. But whatever they decide, it’s important to note that there should be at least 30 minutes of exercise each day. This will ensure that they all stay healthy & fit for many years to come. One of the next pieces of advice he has is to always keep note of all the calories they consume. Studies have found that the people who keep a record of all that they eat are less likely to go overboard when they sit down for the Christmas meal with the rest of their loved ones. This will also give them a better idea of what may be causing them to overeat in the first place. So, it is one of the best methods they can use. Another idea he had was to drink a lot of water at mealtime as this will help to suppress one’s appetite. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes for one’s body to realize that it’s full so one other tip he had was to chew slowly so as to keep from eating long after they have eaten enough. One thing that a lot of people often forget about is the fact that alcohol can eventually lead to weight gain, so it is highly recommended they keep the drinking to a minimum. One of the things that can also help with this is going for a walk after dinner is finished. This will help to burn off the meal they just had as well as help with their mental health. Yoga in the park can also be a good way to burn off the extra calories from those holiday meals so that is one of the recommended exercises as well. So as long as they follow all of these tips provided by Jordan Sudberg, they can be sure they will have a good time during the holidays while staying in shape too.
